Welcome to the site dedicated to celebrating the success of the English Setter dog from Ireland in his homeland and beyond.  This site maintains a record of people and dogs who have contributed to establishing the English Setter as a very competitive and successful Field Trial dog in Ireland who can compete as a major force with its counterparts in its native England and further afield, maintaining its popularity as a working gundog.

Gerald Devine’s 3 year old ESD Ballyellen Tango winning the Ulster Irish Red Setter Club Open Stake on 9 September, 2018 to secure his UK Field Trial Champion title.

Gerald Devine with Ballyellen Diva, Gortinreagh Kimiko and Gortinreagh Joker – who between them won 3 out of the 5 Novice Stakes on the 2018 Summer Circuit in Scotland.
